In June 2024 we opened our forth research exhibition "Hidden Stone" at Velferden Sokndal Scene for Contemporary Art, featuring Marte Johnslien, Julia K. Persson, Linda Flø, Silje Kjørholt, Iliana Maria Papadimitriou, Quin Scholten, and Sara Bauer Gjestland Zamecznik.

Julia K. Persson, “White canvases” (2024) Site-spesific installation of textiles in natural fibers, porcelain clay, white earthenware clay, titanium dioxide, mounted on a structure of spruce- and pinewood.
The artists form the research group "TiO2: The Materiality of White" at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. The group investigates the geology of Sokndal, Norway, its mining history, and the white pigment titanium dioxide through fieldwork and material processing in the ceramics workshop. The exhibition consists of installations with ceramic sculptures and glaze tests.
The exhibition will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM from 29 June to 4 August and will also be open during our symposium «Extraction and Aesthetics: Pasts, Currents, Futures
