In week 8, the TiO2 project travelled to Sokndal, Norway, with Master's students in ceramic arts from The Oslo National Academy of the Arts and Master's students in art history from the University of Bergen. We were joined by ROM for kunst og arkitektur. We searched for stones, walked the deserts, and discovered new relationships between ourselves and the landscape. We visited Sandbekk, Jøssingfjord Science Museum, the old mines at Blåfjell, and Egersund Fayancemuseum where director of Dalane Folkemuseum and collaborator June Stuen gave us an introduction. We spent a full day with our friends at Velferden Sokndals Scene for Samtidskunst, Maiken Stene and Hans Edward Hammonds.
